Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)

US CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAMS

National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program


For designated Interstate EV charging. 80% of total installed cost. Requires four 150 kW Level 3 EVSEs, within 1 mile of corridor.  Must be on designated Alt Fuel Corridor (see below).

Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) Program for Alternative Fuel Corridors, Communities and Rural Areas


80% of total installed cost to support alt fuel corridors and other sites supporting communities:

Alternative Fuel Corridor Designation Program


  • The US Federal Highway Administration manages the program to designate federal roads as Alternative Fuel Corridors, either EV Ready or EV Pending.  These designations are requirements of the NEVI and CFI programs (above).   LINK
